The GRECO team is aspiring to raise $10,000 for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre to support life-saving cancer research

Windsor, Ontario, Canada (May 15, 2024)  Four Canadian GRECO Architectural Metal Products (GRECO) employees will be taking part in a 200-kilometre bike ride from Toronto to Niagara Falls to raise funds for the renowned Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The centre is recognized as one of the leading cancer research facilities globally and one of the world’s top five cancer research centres.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer, Canada’s largest cycling fundraiser, occurs over two days, June 8-9, 2024. Since its inception, this event has raised $280 million for cancer research conducted at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

All Ride to Conquer Cancer participants must pledge to raise a certain amount of money to be part of the ride. Together, the four GRECO riders set out to raise $10,000. The GRECO riders are:

  • Evan Hammond, Human Resource Manager and Team Captain
  • Justin Kinsman, Production Supervisor
  • Michael Robbins, Vice President and General Manager
  • Uwe Thamm, Operations Manager

“Like so many people, quite a few of our employees have friends and loved ones who have been touched by cancer, and taking part in the Ride to Conquer Cancer takes on a special meaning for us,” said Hammond. “I am riding in memory of my Dad, who passed away from cancer and whose legacy continues to inspire me each day. By donating to our team, you’re directly contributing to the advancement of cancer research and treatment.”
